Each year, the MCMA sponsors an Excellence in Masonry Awards competition. The Awards contest promotes the concrete masonry project manufacturers and suppliers in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Producers and suppliers as well as their contractors and project designers are recognized.
"The entries and the winners represent the best of the best in terms of concrete masonry building in Minnesota and western Wisconsin," according to Dana Pugh, 2010 President of the MCMA. "We are very proud of the excellent work our members do and this awards program allows us to celebrate these fine projects," he added.
In 2010, thirty nine projects were entered in eight categories. The eight categories along with the winning projects are listed on the left.
Entries for the 2011 Awards will be accepted in the summer of 2011. The 2011 Awards presentation will be held on February 17, 2012.
